In the words of our current Intern, below is what it is like when you are the Marketing Intern at Miller-Schuring Insurance Agency.
In my time here at Miller-Schuring I have learned exponentially more than I have learned in a classroom. I have learned time management, how to make decisions for myself and trust in those decisions, how to think outside of the box and how to market to an area that I previously did not know how to relate to. Beginning this marketing internship I was nervous, but the other employees here are very welcoming and helpful. The structure of this internship is laid back in the way that I am given projects and figure out how to prioritize them myself. It is a very self-motivated position. On a day to day basis I manage MSA’s social media accounts and blogs. My other tasks greatly vary, whether I am working on the new website, designing a brochure, making sure that we are properly represented on the internet or working on MSA’s image. There is never nothing to do, as I always am able to find something to work on, and that is hands down my favorite part about this internship.
