A popular tourist destination has been dubbed “Puppy Island” for its integration of puppies on popular beaches.
On Providenciales, part of Turks and Caicos, you can enjoy the sun and sand while cuddling puppies! The local rescue shelter, Potcake Place has been working for years to keep strays off of the street, and instead, in the hands of loving owners. The group brings the pups to the beaches for socialization, and most tourists love it!
Since the operation began in 2005, the organization has placed over 500 puppies made possible by its all volunteer staff.
