The Miller Schuring Agency, Inc. experienced a data security incident. For those clients for which we maintained updated contact information, we previously provided individual notification letters. If you received a notification letter from us, this notice will be duplicative.

For those prospective clients and clients where we do not have updated contact information, we are providing this web notice. This notice shares what we know about the incident, our response to it, the types of information that may have been accessed, what we have done to protect against further incidents, a telephone number for you to call to obtain more information, and steps you can take to help protect your personal information.

What Happened and Our Response?

On or around December 7, 2023, after engaging an incident response team and an initial investigation, we learned that an unauthorized third party gained access to some of our computer systems and may have accessed your Information.

We followed the stages of incident response, including detection, analysis, containment, eradication, recovery, notifications, and lessons learned. We communicated with law enforcement and engaged data security professionals and forensic experts.

The investigation concluded that there may have been a compromise of certain data, which may have included some of your personal information.

We conducted a lengthy data review and analysis to determine the potentially impacted individuals, and while we were unable to conclusively confirm that a release of personal information occurred, or that your personal information was compromised, we choose to notify our clients out of an abundance of caution. For those clients for which we maintained updated contact information, we provided individual notification letters.

What Information May Have Been Accessed?

The Information that might be impacted, if you provided it, may have included:
